New Canon 450D announced

well, here are some of the feature highlights from dpreview.com

The EOS 450D features:

  • 12.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor
  • Canon’s EOS Integrated Cleaning System
  • 3.5 frames per second
  • 3.0” LCD with Live View shooting - with both TTL AF and contrast detection AF (a feature first started by nikon)
  • 9-point wide-area AF system with f/2.8 cross-type centre point

  • Spot metering (finally!)

  • Picture Style image processing parameters

  • DIGIC III image processor

  • Compact and Lightweight body
  • Fully compatible with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses and EX-series Speedlites

    • well if you’re upgrading from a 350d or a 400d , you’ll need to buy new memory cards and battery grip as the 450D is using SD cards and needs a new battery grip BG-E5.
